A movie lover can recognize a great film when he sees one. It's a pity not everyone can. It's shocking how Lootera went unnoticed and unsung. Lootera is sheer brilliance and directorial excellence by Vikramaditya Motwane. We saw his capabilities in Udaan which was fortunately well received unlike Lootera. Though the main actors in Lootera, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh were not convincing enough, the film narrated the story beautifully with the background reminiscent of its times. Amit Trivedi's music had a retro feel and blended perfectly with the film. Sawar Loon, Monta Re, Manmarziyan, Shikayatein will all be remembered for years to come. There are some directors whose films I just wait for and watch without bothering to check reviews. Vikramaditya Motwane made it to that list after Lootera.
