Pankaj Kapur and Nasseruddin Shah are enough to entice any movie lover. And I did enjoy Homi Adajania's earlier films: Being Cyrus and Cocktail. FF was a little slow but nevertheless enjoyable. Nasseruddin Shah proves what a veteran actor he is. After watching the film, I started to think of bollywood films in which a christian family has been portrayed and I came across quite a few. Knowing bollywood's wont to typecast, it's no wonder that a christian family in bollywood speaks anglo, has a drunkard and the names are probably D'souza or Briganza. Times have changed but unfortunately bollywood's perception of this community has not changed. Interestingly, I came across a blog that mirrored precisely the same sentiments. I had a quiz on the Radio asking listeners to list out bollywood films that have portrayed christians or a christian family. Share with me the ones that come to your mind. Also, talk to me about the stereotyping of a community in bollywood films.
